This is a module designed for students who completed Russian Beginners A1 Part 2 or have completed a short introductory course in Russian language. This module aims to provide you with a very basic range of simple expressions about personal details and needs of a concrete type.

This module is the third part of the preparation for CEFR A1.

All key language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as grammar and vocab) are assessed over the course of the module.

Written end of module test (50%) and course work (30%). 

Oral assessment (20%).  

• Revision of the topics ‘My Family and I’; Russian forms of address; ‘Counting in Russian’ and ‘Travelling around town’;
• Talk about/express food preferences and order food in a restaurant/café/bar etc;  
• Asking and answering questions on the topic ‘The weather’;
• Asking and answering questions relevant to the topic ‘Telling the time’;
• Express preferences using the verbs любить/нравиться in the correct form; talk and write messages using impersonal sentences and modal expressions можно; нужно; нельзя; надо and modal verb хотеть; ordinal numerals; long and short form of adjectives.
