Outline Description of Module
To provide an introduction to the skills and managerial techniques required for the effective management of people
On completion of the module a student should be able to
Knowledge:
- list the reasons why human resource management is important.
- identify and describe the main parts of the recruitment process.
- compare and evaluate models of motivation.
Understanding:
- explain in their own words what the term ‘human resource management’ involves.
- make suggestions regarding how to apply the models of motivation to their own place of work to improve motivations levels within the workplace.
- solve problem questions by applying employment law taught during the course.
- apply different methods of team work to tasks completed during the course.
